BT offer gamers limited number of Xbox Series X consoles in new sale

BT are offering customers a limited number of Xbox Series X consoles in a new sale which has launched today. The telecoms company has a select amount of stock of the Microsoft console which is proving difficult to buy among gamers.

Similar to the PlayStation 5, one of the reasons for Xbox Series X and Series S stock shortages is due to scalpers snapping up large amounts of next-gen consoles in one big sweep and then selling them for extortionate prices.

The Xbox Series X is described by Microsoft as the fastest, most powerful Xbox gaming console. Users will be able to experience 1,000s of titles from four generations of gaming on Series X – where games look and play better than ever.

Unleash faster, more streamlined gameplay with Xbox Velocity Architecture. Powered by a custom SSD, Xbox Series X significantly reduces load times. And with new Quick Resume, it’s easy to switch between multiple games in an instant. Explore vibrant worlds with an unmatched 12 teraflops of raw graphic processing power.

The Xbox Series X console delivers 4K gaming at up to 120 frames per second on supported content and displays, and comes 8K ready. Smart Delivery on supported Xbox games ensures you’ll play the best available version of your game. Any Xbox One game progress will automatically transfer over to the new system.

BT currently has the console and two bundles available to buy on their website here.

The Microsoft Xbox Series X console is available to buy for £449.98, or there's a bundle which includes the console and an additional wireless controller for £503. They also have a bundle which contains the console and a Razer Kaira Pro headset for £568.

A BT spokesperson said: "We have a limited number of Xbox Series X consoles which are now available to purchase via the BT online shop: Xbox Series X | BT Shop. These are available on a first come first serve basis and are only available via the website, so customers will need to use the link and not contact BT telesales."
