Customers were left without access to their emails after a BT broadband outage on Monday morning (July 25). Hundreds of customers were reportedly affected at the start of the working week.
DownDetector, which monitors and reports outages affecting internet and mobile phone services, said around 600 customers had been affected as of 9.30am, Metro reports.
A number of customers had contacted BT on twitter to report issues with access to their emails. The official BT twitter account said the issue has since been resolved.
People had reported not being able to access their emails and poor connection. According to DownDetector, the issue was being experienced by BT customers in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
Twitter user gvnwd said ealier: "My internet connection keeps dropping out very regularly and then reconnecting. I work from home so it’s causing me issues to get my work done. Any idea why this is happening?"
Twitter user rdinhert said: "Is the email ok today? trying to log on I get "service unavailable". Thanks!"
