Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is taking a step forward on Wednesday, even on an injured ankle.
As announced by head coach Frank Reich this afternoon, the rookie passer is set to participate in today’s practice session. Young, who is currently dealing with an ankle sprain, did not practice nor play for the team’s Week 3 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

But there’s nothing like gettin’ out on the field and going through a practice. So, we’ll get him out there and credit to Bryce for being ready.
“Really, at the beginning, we were thinkin’ one to two weeks, thinkin’ it could be more, too. But he’s done everything he can do to get back here. And he, obviously, wants to be out there. We want him out there, as long as he’s ready to go and play winning football. So, we’ll see what he can get done out there today and see how he responds to it, and then know more tomorrow.”
13th-year veteran Andy Dalton started in place of the injured Young this past Sunday. He completed 34 of a career-high 58 passing attempts for 361 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the 37-27 loss.
