Manchester United supporters are relishing the prospect of seeing James Garner play alongside Bruno Fernandes next season after producing another eye-catching moment for Nottingham Forest. The 21-year-old helped his loan club overcome Coventry City on Wednesday night with a stunning strike.
Combining with Keinan Davis, the academy graduate waltzed into the penalty box after 61 minutes and thundered an unstoppable shot past Simon Moore into the roof of the net. It was enough to clinch a 2-0 victory for Forest as the play-off contenders moved up to fifth in the Championship table.
Garner has impressed throughout his 18 months at the City Ground and his impact has seemingly been noticed by senior figures at Old Trafford.
