Bruno Guimaraes' agent Alexis Malavolta says the Brazilian is fulfilling his dream at Newcastle United after making the move to Tyneside in January. The 24-year-old opened his account in stunning fashion against Southampton last week.
The Brazilian international had not hidden his desire to play in the Premier League, but has been made to bide his time by Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe. The Magpies midfielder has shown glimpses of what he can offer at St. James' Park but there's plenty more to come from Bruno.
Arsenal and Juventus were among the interested parties last year, but it was Newcastle who placed the only official offer in January, one that came to fruition. Speaking to Globoesporte last August, Guimaraes said: "There were contacts with my agent. But nothing official, they asked me... but there was no official proposal. My objective, and I made it clear to Juninho, is to win a title here.

"The Lyon supporters are looking for titles, they haven't won anything for a long time . My goal is to achieve something, to make a name for myself in Lyon, but I have never hidden my desire to play in the Premier League."
While this season is a far cry from winning the Premier League title, the long term ambition shown by Newcastle's new owners is something fans once only dreamt of. Guimaraes' transfer of around £40million, was the first real big money signing made by Amanda Staveley and co, with fans now looking forward to the summer transfer window.
That ambition is one shared by Newcastle's new midfield maestro who is now fulfilling his dream of playing in the Premier League. Malavolta claims the Brazilian midfielder is enjoying the "intensity" of the division and believes his high ambitions will only help him become a fan favourite.
Speaking to FootMercato, Bruno's representative said: "Bruno is very happy to play for Newcastle. He realises his dream in the Premier League (...) He likes the intensity of this championship. His dream is coming true.
"His goal this season is on track as it is to keep Newcastle in the top flight of football. The owners' project is to recruit great players to win titles and stay in the Premier League. Bruno is very focused at Newcastle. He also wants to keep the level to participate in the World Cup with Brazil in 2022. His mentality is top."
The former Lyon midfielder already has a song made for him by the Magpies faithful, something that hasn't gone unnoticed in Guimaraes' camp. Malavolta added: “He is very charming with Newcastle fans. They have already made a song especially for him and they sing it before each match, in matches and in training."
Guimaraes' agent has revealed he plans to move his family over to Newcastle as the midfielder recognises the importance of having them close by. Malavolta said: "Bruno studies English every day with the same teacher who taught him French.
“He is still looking for a home in Newcastle. In the meantime, he lives with me. I decided to settle in Newcastle because it is a decisive year for Bruno. His parents will also move here."
