Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes said there has been a positive reaction on the training ground to Sunday's derby loss but insisted that United need to bounce back when it matters - in matches.
United had won their four league matches prior to the defeat by Pep Guardiola's side, but were disappointing against the reigning champions and will be desperate to record a victory in Europe on Thursday night.
Fernandes, who started alongside Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen against City, said the Reds are keen to show a reaction against Omonia.

"Of course, everyone just wants to be playing again as soon as possible – we want and we need this reaction. And we have to show it [against Omonia]," the Portuguese international told club media.
"That’s the most important thing – even if you do well in training, you have to show it in the games and I’m sure we’ll do it tomorrow."
He added: "I think it’s always about that - getting a win straightaway and getting the confidence back. That’s the most important thing now."
The Reds have made a mixed start to their Europa League campaign this term - losing their first group match against Spanish outfit Real Sociedad before recording a much-needed victory over FC Sheriff prior to the international break.
