Manchester United attacking-midfielder Bruno Fernandes has sent a short social media message to Joao Cancelo as the defender has sealed his Manchester City exit.
The Portuguese full-back, who has been one of City's best players over the last couple of years, has sealed a deadline day switch to German heavyweights Bayern Munich. He is set to join the Bundesliga club on loan until the end of the season, with Bayern having the option to make the move permanent in the summer.
News of Cancelo's impending exit from the Etihad Stadium on Monday stunned City's fans, leaving them asking questions of the club. However, his game time has significantly reduced since the World Cup, highlighted by his tally of just two Premier League starts since the resumption of the campaign.

His decrease in game time, according to reports elsewhere, has led to a change in his attitude and a reported deterioration in relationship with manager Pep Guardiola. Cancelo was nothing short of outstanding last season, cementing himself, arguably, as the best left-back in the Premier League.
He also scored three goals and registered a very impressive ten assists in all competitions. This term he has scored two goals and racked up five assists.
Cancelo, on his own Instagram page, all but confirmed that the deal had been done, bidding farewell to City with an emotional video featuring some memorable moments. Sharing the video, the former Juventus man said: "Once a Cityzen, always a Cityzen. Thank you," accompanied with a blue love heart emoji.
City teammates Ruben Dias and Ederson are among those to have replied to the post, but so has United ace Fernandes, who, of course, knows Cancelo well through playing alongside each other for Portugal.
In response to the video, Fernandes posted: "On another level," accompanied by a clapping emoji.
Should Bayern choose to make the deal permanent in the summer, meaning Cancelo will have played his last game for City, he will have left the club having made 154 appearances, winning three major trophies in the process. He also scored nine times and chalked up 22 assists during that period.
