Bruno Fernandes sends message to Anthony Martial about Manchester United exit

Manchester United attacking-midfielder Bruno Fernandes has wished Anthony Martial all the very best following confirmation of his loan switch to Sevilla.

Martial struggled for regular opportunities at Old Trafford this season and has joined the La Liga club on loan for the remainder of the season, as he looks to rediscover top form.

Following extensive talks between United and Sevilla, the deal was officially completed and announced on Tuesday evening, meaning Martial can now prepare for making his debut for his new club against Osasuna on February 5, as the Spanish club looks to try and reel in Real Madrid in pursuit of the La Liga title.

With United's current managerial situation up in the air, it remains to be seen if Martial will sport a United shirt again, especially when opportunities have proven to be so infrequent this season.

But whatever the long-term future holds for the France international, he has been sent an emotional message by United team-mate Fernandes, who has urged the former AS Monaco man to go and deliver the goods in his new temporary home.

On Instagram, Fernandes wrote: "My friend... our conversation on and off the pitch was always special.

"Wish you all the best for the rest of the season! Go and shine bro @martial_9."

Martial, who has scored 79 goals during his United career since joining the club from AS Monaco back in 2015, has been restricted to just 11 appearances in all competitions this term.

He joins a Sevilla side who are only four points shy of the top of the La Liga table and are still alive and kicking in the Europa League, meaning Martial's loan spell has the potential to be a hugely successful one.
