Bruno Fernandes sends brilliant message to Aaron Wan-Bissaka after Manchester United vs Man City

Bruno Fernandes has just about summed up Aaron Wan-Bissaka's Manchester derby performance with a question on the right-back's Instagram post.

The 25-year-old made just his fourth Premier League start of the season during Saturday's 2-1 win against Manchester City, replacing Diogo Dalot after news broke that the Portugal international would not be fit in time for the game. Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford sealed a memorable comeback victory in which every player in red was excellent.

Few more so than Wan-Bissaka, who was tasked with keeping Phil Foden quiet down the City left. Pep Guardiola's side ran riot down that flank during the 6-3 nightmare in October, with Foden and Erling Haaland both scoring hat-tricks.

But it was a completely different dynamic at Old Trafford, with Wan-Bissaka continuing his personal resurgence and frustrating Foden until his departure on 57 minutes.

After the match, Wan-Bissaka posted a picture on Instagram of himself and Foden battling, to which Fernandes replied: "How many legs do you have?" David de Gea seemingly echoed the point, commenting with a spider emoji.

The Englishman continued to defend resolutely once Fernandes and Rashford gave United the lead, suppressing Jack Grealish and an on-rushing Joao Cancelo as Erik ten Hag's side saw out a huge win.

For a player who was linked with a move away at the start of January, the last fortnight has seen quite the turnaround in Wan-Bissaka's fortunes in Manchester, with the former Crystal Palace man pulling together a number of solid defensive performances.

Whether Dalot will be fit and available for Wednesday's trip to Palace remains to be seen, but Wan-Bissaka has done more than enough to stake a claim for a starting place at his former stomping ground.
