Post-championship partying in Las Vegas didn’t quite turn out the way that Bruce Brown was expecting.
As the Nuggets were celebrating their first NBA championship, the team partied in Las Vegas to commemorate the victory over the Heat in the NBA finals.
Brown had one goal during the post-title celebrations: to get Nikola Jokić drunk.
Let’s just say things didn’t go quite according to plan.
“Bro he had me drinking some Serbian whiskey. We was taking shots,” Brown said of his former Nuggets teammate. “My goal all night was to get him drunk, right? And he just flipped the script. But he’s a bigger body and I wasn’t even thinking that. And we was taking shots of some Serbian whiskey, and I was finished bro. I learned my lesson. He’s different, never again. The flight was the next morning. We had a PJ [private jet] at like 8. I woke up at 11:50.”

Bruce Brown couldn't hang with Nikola Jokic while drinking in Vegas after the NBA Finals 🤣

Sounds like Brown couldn’t hang with his NBA Finals MVP teammate.
Now that the celebrations have ended, Brown will prepare for life after the Nuggets. The guard signed a two-year, $45 million contract with the Pacers in free agency, where he will play alongside star Tyrese Haliburton.
