Another heart-thumping game for quarterback Joe Flacco and the Cleveland Browns as they beat the Chicago Bears by a score of 20-17 to get their ninth win of the season. The injury bug continued to hit the Browns as they lost left guard Joel Bitonio early on and yet they battled like they have all season to get another win.
The offense spent most of the game struggling to get any yardage and points and then Joe Flacco and the passing offense turned it on in the fourth quarter and got it done. David Njoku continues his best season as a pro and went over 100 yards making several massive plays to help the Browns win.
The defense tightened it up when it mattered even though the last series gave several fans a heart attack before D’Anthony Bell came up with the ball to end the game. Let’s take a look at how Browns Twitter reacting to another last-second win to get their ninth of the year.
Where everyone that said the game was over and forgot this team doesn’t quit? #DawgPound

Kevin Stefanski is the first Browns head coach since Marty Schottenheimer in 1988 to have multiple winning seasons in his Browns coaching tenure. pic.twitter.com/mDknZbYz5D

The kind of player you are is determined by how you finish the football game
Since Flacco’s 3rd int of the game:
11/13 212yds 1 TD & a 4th quarter comeback
The 38yr old refused to throw in the towel#DawgPound

Can’t believe I’m sitting here tearing up! Because I love our fans so much! And because the team could have quit! But they didn’t! I happy for the whole organization whom I’ve been hard on. But from here on out. I’m going with positivity nomatter what, something is different☺️

The Browns coaching staff deserves so much credit. Freaking ridiculous. Top three tackles down. Quarterback long gone. Bellcow back out for the year. And here Cleveland is, about to get to 9-5.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) December 17, 2023
I don't know how to put into words how shocking it is that this team with all the injuries and inconsistent (at best) QB play this year is 9-5 with a 92% chance of making the playoffs with 3 weeks left.
The first 2 words are simple: Kevin Stefanski
Then its: heart, will, effort
— Jared Mueller (@JaredKMueller) December 17, 2023
Kevin Stefanski’s next victory will match Bill Belichick’s amount of wins as Browns head coach #DawgPound

The Browns now have a 92 percent chance to make the playoffs.

Only one QB has passed for 200+ Yards in the 4th Quarter of a game this season
Joe Flacco, 212 Yards vs Bears
Still elite after all these years pic.twitter.com/L6CIjUkMje

It’s pretty clear that whatever Stefanski is selling the players are buying. Anyone at this point calling for his job is either unserious or just pushing their own agenda.

Wow. You gotta love this team. The @browns never give up and they find a way!!!! Wow. Speechless!

That throw was nuts, Joe.

Kenny Pickett has passed for 300 yards once in his 25 game Steelers career.
Joe Flacco has passed for 300 yards twice in his 3 game Browns career. pic.twitter.com/TDKbF8QFEC
— Nick Karns (@karnsies817) December 17, 2023
All joking aside, today did show you the value of a Flacco. Any other Browns QB would’ve crawled into a hole after throwing 3 picks. Flacco just kept chucking.
— Ben Axelrod (@BenAxelrod) December 17, 2023
This dude Joe Flacco is insane‼️‼️

I wanna know where the Flacco doubters are right now! pic.twitter.com/x24LqoFvgL

Joe Flacco has thrown for 939 yards in three games as a Brown.
Deshaun Watson threw for 1,115 in six games

So, let me get this straight:
Joe Flacco is leading me to the promised land and making David Njoku look like Antonio Gates while playing behind the worst offensive line in Browns history?
Do I have this correct? #DawgPound
