The Cleveland Browns have opened a roster spot. Sitting at 4-2 on the season after a win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Browns have not experienced great quarterback play outside of one game. As a result, they may be looking to add another one to the active roster. For now, running back Deon Jackson has been waived from the active roster after spending just a few days on the 53-man roster.
After exhausting his three elevations from the practice squad, there is reason to believe this move is to make room to sign quarterback P.J. Walker to the active roster. However, with the uncertainty of Deshaun Watson still looming over the franchise, they could also be looking to add another quarterback on the trade market.
Jackson will now be looking for his third team after spending time with both the Browns and the Colts. If he clears waivers, which is likely, there is a solid chance he lands back on the practice squad in Cleveland.
