Browns vs. Bengals flexed out of Thursday Night Football in Week 16

The Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals matchup in Week 16 has officially been flexed out of their Thursday Night Football primetime slot.

The franchise’s social media team announced the schedule switch on Friday and that the teams will now face off on Sunday, December 22nd at 1:00 PM. This announcement comes the morning after the Cleveland Browns managed to beat the steamrolling Pittsburgh Steelers by a final score of 24-19.

The matchup that will replace the in-state rivalry on Thursday night is the Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers. After an impressive performance last night, many are curious about why the Browns would be flexed out.

The prediction is that the Chargers and Broncos will be fighting for a playoff spot by Week 16, possibly within their division. While the Browns and Bengals are always set to be a dogfight, both teams are projected to be out of the playoff race by the time this Thursday night matchup occurs.

This AFC North rivalry is set to be a good matchup no matter when it is scheduled.
