The Cleveland Browns are set to face the best team in the NFL when the San Francisco 49ers come to Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday. The 49ers’ roster is loaded and the offense is led by one of the best offensive minds in the NFL in Kyle Shanahan. The Browns may have a secret weapon as defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz is 8-1 against Shanahan.
If Cleveland is to win on Sunday Schwartz will have to have his defense on top of their games against the 49ers. Their offense has talent all over the field with Christian McCaffery, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk all playing well.
The team could be without Deshaun Watson yet again so the offense will need to limit mistakes and get some help from the defense. The Browns are yet to win the turnover battle in a game and Schwartz knows he has to capitalize on any opportunities they get to get a takeaway.
The Browns defense has the ability and talent to do it but they will also need their coach to outcoach Shanahan if they are to shut that offense down. It is a tall task to do but as history has shown Schwartz has limited Shanahan several times before.
