New Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco won’t be throwing to all unfamiliar targets when he starts Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams.
One of his receivers, Elijah Moore, played on the New York Jets with Flacco the past two seasons. The two played together in seven games where Flacco found Moore 60 times for 395 yards and two touchdowns.
“Yeah, I love Elijah,” Flacco said Thursday. “Texted with him a couple weeks ago when I was driving my way out to Cleveland. I think he’s a hell of a player. … I think he’s got a bunch of talent and he’s a great kid, so it’s definitely nice.”
The biggest connection between the two came in a Week 11 loss to the Miami Dolphins during Moore’s rookie season in 2021. Moore finished that game with eight catches on 11 targets for 141 yards and one 62-yard receiving touchdown.

Moore won’t be the only receiver Flacco has in Cleveland, though. Veteran wideout Amari Cooper is expected to play despite a rib injury and third-round rookie Cedric Tillman has seen an uptick in snaps over the past month of play.
