Cleveland Browns' star defensive end Myles Garrett is set to undergo an MRI on his foot following an injury sustained during the team's recent game against the New York Giants. The injury, which had been bothering Garrett throughout the game, forced him to be assisted off the field during the fourth quarter.
Garrett, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in the NFL, had previously disclosed that he was managing injuries in both of his feet, although the specifics were not revealed. During the game, Garrett was seen grabbing his right foot and limping after certain plays, indicating the extent of his discomfort.
The 28-year-old athlete mentioned that he is facing multiple issues in both legs as he attempts to compensate for the foot injuries. Following the Browns' loss to the Giants, Garrett was observed limping out of the locker room and being transported in a cart outside the stadium.
Aside from Garrett's injury, the Browns also suffered setbacks with three offensive linemen sustaining injuries during the game. Right guard Wyatt Teller, left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., and backup tackle James Hudson III all suffered injuries and are scheduled to undergo imaging tests to assess the extent of their injuries.
Wills, who made his 2024 debut in the game, had previously undergone knee surgery in December, adding to the team's injury concerns. The Browns' head coach, Kevin Stefanski, confirmed that all three linemen would be undergoing further tests to determine the severity of their injuries.
The Browns' recent string of injuries adds to the challenges faced by the team as they aim to navigate through a competitive NFL season. The health and recovery of key players like Myles Garrett and the offensive linemen will be closely monitored as the Browns look to bounce back from their recent defeat.
