Browns looking for WR at the NFL trade deadline; Is Jerry Jeudy a fit?

The NFL trade deadline is nearing, and general manager Andrew Berry has proven to be an aggressive one when looking to add talent to the Cleveland Browns. And according to The Athletic’s Diana Russini, the Browns are in the market for a wide receiver close to the deadline. As the Denver Broncos step closer to an inevitable teardown, could former first round pick Jerry Jeudy be a fit in Cleveland?

Jeudy is consistently one of the most open wide receivers as he is a top-tier route runner and separator on the football field. While he has had some drop issues in his career, Jeudy has been more predominantly plagued by bad quarterback play with the Broncos.

The Browns and Broncos had mutual interest this summer on getting a deal done, but Denver’s asking price was too high. The Browns then pivoted to Elijah Moore and acquired him from the New York Jets. Now that the price has surely dropped, could Berry and the Browns make another call to Denver for the services of Jeudy?

Other receivers rumored to be on the trade market are Arizona Cardinals’ Marquise Brown, Courtland Sutton of the Broncos, and Hunter Renfrow of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Browns could even trade a receiver as Donovan Peoples-Jones sits with just 97 yards on eight catches.

Teams have until 4 PM EST on Tuesday, October 31 to close deals. Will the Browns get one done?
