Browns Injury Alert: Martin Emerson Jr. leaves game vs. Texans with shin injury

Cleveland Browns cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. exited the game against the Houston Texans after he wrestled Nico Collins to the ground right before halftime. Emerson injured his right shin but was able to walk off the field under his power. He is questionable to return to the game in a game that been all Cleveland’s.

Emerson had a tough game against the Texans. The referees called multiple penalties on the young cornerback. The physical cornerback didn’t let the ref’s whistle change his game. Emerson was bullying wide receivers up to his injury.

The Cleveland Browns cannot afford to lose Emerson for any extended period. The cornerback is having a breakout season and is in the middle of any All-Pro or Pro Bowl discussion. Earlier this week, PFF posted their stats showing Emerson is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

The Browns need Emerson healthy during the playoff run. The team cannot afford to lose any more players for the rest of the season. Earlier in the game Browns’ kicker Dustin Hopkins was ruled out after injuring his hamstring during a kickoff.
