The Cleveland Browns currently sit at 89 players on their roster after releasing cornerback Bopete Keyes with an injury designation. And after releasing defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey after another off-the-field incident, the Browns perhaps look to fill that void as they are hosting free agent defensive tackle Shelby Harris for a visit today (according to Jordan Schultz and confirmed by The OBR’s Brad Stainbrook).
Harris has had a sturdy career with the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. The 6-foot-3 and 300-pound interior player is known as a forceful run defender who can more than hold his own against double teams, which has been sorely missing from the Cleveland roster.
As the Browns push their chips into the center of the table in 2023, it would be wise to plug up one of the few remaining holes on their roster in the defensive tackle room.
