The victories have come in handy as the team sits at the top of the AFC wild-card spot over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and division rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns inspired confidence with triumphs over two of the best teams in the NFL, the San Fransisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens.
The Browns are the most battle-tested team in the NFL and have the wounds to prove it. The Browns have lost over 15 players to multi-game injuries, the latest being the trio of Maurice Hurst II, Ogbo Okoronkwo, and Grant Delpit. The Browns must regroup as they continue to rely on their backups for the remainder of the season.
The Browns proved they can beat the best teams in the NFL without various starters. They’ll have two more opportunities against teams with records over .500 in the next four games as they take on the Houston Texans and finish the season against the Bengals. There should be a lot of optimism around the Cleveland Browns heading into the playoffs. They can beat any team in the NFL.
