Browns fall middle of the pack in Touchdown Wire’s initial 2023 power rankings

More power rankings? More power rankings. This time, Touchdown Wire’s Jarrett Bailey releases his Week 1 power rankings ahead of the start of the season. The Cleveland Browns are ranked as his fourth-best team in the AFC North and the 15th overall team in the league.

Here is what Bailey has to say about his 15th-ranked Browns entering the 2023 season:

“Everyone and their mother seems to think the Browns are going to be very good. While I think Deshaun Watson will be better, I think it’s premature to say they’ll be a playoff team and win the AFC North. The offense should run through Nick Chubb and the Browns’ strong interior offensive line. As long as Watson can look like a competent quarterback, the Browns could be a player in the wildcard race.”

Bailey then went on to rank the Baltimore Ravens 13th, the Pittsburgh Steelers eighth, and the Cincinnati Bengals third in his power rankings.

Luckily, the game stops being played on paper in a few short days, and the Browns will have a chance to prove it on the field as the Bengals come to town on Sunday.
