Browns CB Mike Ford Jr. picks off Ravens QB Lamar Jackson in first half

Cleveland Browns cornerback Mike Ford Jr. recorded his first career interception in impressive fashion. The sixth-year pro – who’s in his first season with the Browns – picked off Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson late in the second quarter of Week 10.

Ford, going stride-for-stride with Ravens wideout Rashod Bateman, turned around just in time to catch Jackson’s pass and end Baltimore’s drive before halftime.

The interception set the Browns up to potentially score in the waning moments of the first half, but Cleveland failed to capitalize on the turnover. The Browns went into the halftime locker room down 17-9 thanks to three Dustin Hopkins field goals.

Ford has played sparingly in his first season with the Browns but saw a career-high 10 defensive snaps in Week 9. After Denzel Ward left with a neck injury, though, the Browns leaned on Ford in the second quarter. And he delivered to help keep the Browns within striking distance for the second half.
