The Cleveland Browns are reportedly keeping around another one of their own as defensive tackle Shelby Harris will be back in Northeast Ohio in 2024.
The source? Harris himself.
The veteran defensive tackle took to social media to say, “We back baby signing back to Cleveland!!!” Harris joins his fellow defensive tackle Maurice Hurst and defensive end Za’Darius Smith to rebuild the defensive trenches off the coast of Lake Erie.
Starting seven games a year ago while appearing in all 17, Harris racked up a sack and a half, six tackles for loss, knocked down five passes at the line of scrimmage, 18 stop tackles, and 22 pressures.
Even with bringing Harris and Hurst back, do not discount the Browns taking one more swing at a potential starting defensive tackle before we are all said and done. All in all, the Browns opting to run it back with one of the best defensive front in the league seems like a wise idea.
We back baby signing back to Cleveland!!! #backtotheland
