Brownings the Bakers has appointed Fraser Gall to the position of sales director.
The fourth generation family business, based in Kilmarnock, was first established by managing director John Gall’s grandparents in 1945.
Fraser is now following in his dad’s footsteps by becoming a director, having joined the business in 2009 when he was only 16.
He started his training in the pie factory, making and packing the famous Kilmarnock pie, before moving to the bakery side of the business five years later.
Fraser continued in there for four more years, before moving into a sales role where he continues to grow the customer base.
John said: “Fraser is a very positive addition to our senior management structure and has the full support of myself, fellow director Matthew Short and the rest of our management team.
“It is really rewarding to see my son continue on in the business and help us to grow and improve what we as a family have been working tirelessly to make successful for over 75 years now.”
Brownings currently employs more than 190 staff with six retail shops and an annual turnover of £11m.
Aldi, Asda, Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Scotmid, SPAR, Tesco and Waitrose all stock a range of Brownings products.
