Law firm Browne Jacobson has appointed co-heads to lead its Birmingham office.
Rachel Lyne and Mike Jackson have taken over the joint top role for a three-year tenure.
Ms Lyne is a regulatory lawyer with extensive experience advising clients in association with investigations and enforcement action brought by bodies such as the Health & Safety Executive, Food Standards Agency and the police.
She also has experience of working on public inquiries including advising most recently on covid-19, Grenfell Tower and the Manchester Arena bombing.
As well as her contentious work, she also advises a range of clients on all regulatory issues including food, fire safety, health and safety and product safety and compliance.
Mr Jackson is a well-known and experienced corporate lawyer and a tech and venture capital specialist.
He regularly advises corporates, institutional investors and high growth tech companies on mergers and acquisitions, growth capital and cross-border transactions.
Both of them will combine their new responsibilities with their existing client-facing roles.
Browne Jacobson, which is headquartered in Nottingham and whose roots date back almost 200 years, introduced office heads and deputy heads for the first time in 2018, with similar announcements being made this week at its other UK locations.
It launched an office in Birmingham in 1999 and now has 180 staff who are due to relocate from its current base to the new 103 Colmore Row office development after signing a deal for space in March.
