Brother's plea for public help after sighting of missing Nottinghamshire man Reece Jobling

The brother of a missing Nottinghamshire man has pleaded for more help from the public after a sighting was reported. Reece Jobling, 27, went missing after leaving his home in Radcliffe-on-Trent on Wednesday, May 17.

Family, friends and police are all working to trace him, with his younger brother Jack Allison saying they are "very scared" for his safety. A sighting of Reece has been reported at the Cotgrave canal crossing near the Shepherds Stonehouse on Thursday, May 18.

"He was seen by two cyclists who spoke to him and asked him how he was," said Jack, 21. "We're just really scared, we've got no idea where he is.

"We're a bit hopeful because they spoke to him, we hope he's in Notts and he's still okay." In an appeal for more help, he said: "We want all the help we can get, if people have got rescue dogs, drones, anything, that would be amazing.

"I'd like to give a shout-out to everyone who has helped - friends, family and people that don't even know him." Jack said he and family have been putting missing posters up in West Bridgford and Cotgrave, but were frustrated by some shop reluctance to display them.

"Some shops have put them up but some say it's against their policy which is ridiculous," he said. In an appeal put out on Sunday, May 21, Nottinghamshire Police said: "We are concerned for his safety and urgently want to hear from anyone who has seen him.

"He is around 5ft 9ins tall. He has short brown hair and was last seen wearing Grey tracksuit trousers, a navy-blue coat and a black adidas bag, a baseball cap and headphones, as per the images on the right.

"If you have seen Reece or have any information on where he is, please call us on 101 quoting incident 790 of 19th May 2023."
