Brookside stars who 'haven't aged a bit' in 20 years

A number of Brookside's biggest stars have reunited some 20 years after the show came to an end, and fans are saying they have "not aged one bit".

Alex Fletcher, who played Jacqui Dixon in the popular Channel 4 soap, shared some snaps on Instagram as she met up with her old colleagues. It comes as Brookside has returned to our screens, with all episodes available to watch on STV.

Alex, 46, currently plays Diane O'Connor in Hollyoaks, a role she has had since 2010.

On Wednesday, she met up with her former co-stars Tiffany Chapman, who played Rachel Jordache, Bev McLoughin actress Tracie White, and Dianne Burke, who played Katie Rogers.

Sharing a number of photos of the reunion, Alex said: "The Original Brookie girls back together. We’ve literally cried laughing catching up, some of the stories...remembering all the good times we shared on & off the close!!

"So many special happy memories, such an iconic show. What a catch up take us all back to Benidorm [laughing emojis]".

Brookside fans were quick to comment on the Instagram post. Melanie said: "Ah, this has made my day…. You all look so beautiful still… not aged one bit. I’ll bet you had such a giggle… A testament to your friendship that you’re still having fun together years after you finished working together".

Carmel said: "Babies! You all look exactly the same!" while Emma said: "You all look great, I’m so pleased Brookside is finally back on our screens xx". Jessica said: "How on earth have none of you aged?"
