Brooks Koepka has dropped out of the world top 100 for the first time in almost 10 years following his move to LIV Golf.
Koepka, 32, joined the Saudi-backed breakaway series last year and enjoyed some success by winning the Jeddah Invitational back in October. That was as good as it got though, with Koepka failing to make the top 10 in four other events.
Since making the move to LIV, the American has played in just three events that receive world ranking points and he has found himself on the slide as a result.
Having been world No.1 in February 2020, Koepka is now as low as 102nd and follows in the footsteps of other LIV rebels to drop down the rankings.
Koepka is two places behind Louis Ooosthuizen while former US Open winner Bryson DeChambeau dropped out of the top 100 last month and now sits in 131st.
Phil Mickelson's ranking continues to plummet and he is ranked 352nd while a number of players look set to fall further as the war between LIV and the PGA and DP World Tour continues.
Former world No.1 Dustin Johnson is down to 62nd while Paul Casey is 94th and looks set to be the next big name to fall out of the top 100.
Koepka's LIV move has attracted scrutiny in recent times after he appeared on Netflix's 'Full Swing', doubting his credentials against the biggest names in golf.
During the inaugural season, he was also appointed captain of Smash GC, with his team finishing fifth overall, but golf journalist Alan Shipnuck suggested recently that he could look for a way back to the Tour.
“I’m hearing a lot of rumblings that Brooks Koepka has buyer’s remorse. He took the money when his brittle body was still being put back together, and in private he has confided to folks he wasn’t sure if he would ever get fully healthy again,” he said.
"But now Koepka is feeling frisky and supposedly rethinking his career choice.”
The second event of the LIV Golf season gets underway in Tucson, Arizona, later this week in one of eight tournaments in the United States over the course of the campaign.
