Brooklyn Beckham whips up a poke bowl in new cooking tutorial a day after stylist stint

Brooklyn Beckham shared his latest culinary creation with fans on Thursday.

The eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham whipped up a poke bowl in the kitchen, following his venture into the world of fashion with his wife Nicola Peltz.

Amid fans wondering if the celebrity offspring, 23, was considering another career change, this time trying his hand as a stylist, Brooklyn returned to his passion as he shared a video of his latest recipe, a Hawaiian poké bowl, with his Instagram followers.

Reviews of the budding chef's latest cook attempt divided fans, with some Instagram users leaving sarcastic comments while others suggested the 23-year-old should open his own restaurant.

In the clip, Brooklyn demonstrated to his followers how to assemble a poke bowl, which included seaweed, avocado and mango, and rice made using a rice maker.

"Poké bowl and @drinkwesake," the married man captioned the post, after revealing the finished product and enjoying a mouthful of his creation.

WeSake is described as "a premium-grade Japanese sake in a can by Brooklyn Peltz Beckham" on its verified Instagram account.

"Basically slicing up food and placing it in a bowl," one unimpressed viewer commented.

"Don’t quit your day job," another savage critic quipped, as a third wrote: "So the wife brings home the bacon and he cooks it?"

One Instagram user fumed: "You can’t even cook rice properly and you say you’re a cook? I say you’re a joke."

However, Brooklyn did have some fans in the comments underneath his latest post.

"Everytime i see ur cooking videos i forget that you're a Beckham not a Ramsay," one fan gushed.

Another declared: "Brooklyn!!!! This is fantastic!!!!"

Gordon Ramsay - a family friend - defended Brooklyn earlier this year, as some people took aim at the wannabe chef's attempt at cooking a Sunday roast.

At the start of this month, Brooklyn took to his Instagram page to share a video of himself preparing a prime rib with a large amount of seasoned butter alongside former Michelin chef Kevin Lee.

As they were making it 'Michelin', fans started questioning how much the beef cost him, with butchers revealing it would cost between £200 and £300.

Brooklyn was ruthlessly mocked, with social media users telling him he used too much butter to cover the beef and claimed the finished product was too raw.

Speaking after the backlash, Gordon admitted he didn't understand the criticism against Brooklyn - who grew up with his kids - and came to his defence.

He admitted he didn't see the "'supposedly' raw beef" video but is glad the star is enjoying his culinary adventure.

"But even as a 12-year-old, whilst playing football, Brooklyn was always excited about food," Gordon recalled.

"So I'm pleased that he's gone down that road and he's found something he really enjoys doing."

"It probably came off a certain way, but it's not his fault. So I have no issues against it. I'm excited. We have another chef joining the mix," the Hell's Kitchen star added to MailOnline.

Brooklyn has always brushed off criticism of his culinary skills - previously admitting he wishes his 'haters' well.

"I really enjoyed [photography] for a couple of years. I love taking pictures of my wife. I still have all my film cameras, but now it’s just more of a fun thing to do. They were kind of all hobbies," he told Variety last year.

Brooklyn went on the confess he’s now discovered the one thing he would "literally die for." That being; cooking.

"I was still trying to find that one thing I would literally die for, and I found that with cooking," he admitted in his profile.

Brooklyn also had a message for his critics who often mock his culinary attempts.

"I always wish them well, the haters," he declared. "I’m just doing what I love doing, staying healthy, being happy, and that’s what it is. I hope they like my next video."
