Brooklyn Beckham's accent mocked by fans as he flits between American and Cockney

Brooklyn Beckham's accent has caused uproar on social media.

The newlywed was being interviewed on the red carpet about his cooking skills as he bids to become a professional chef, and as he answered what dishes wife Nicola enjoys the most, fans were more concerned about his voice than the food he serves up.

The clip has now gone viral with people in stitches at Brooklyn's transatlantic drawl, much like what happened to Liam Payne a few months back.

Brooklyn, 23, said: "She loves angel hair pasta with pink sauce, but she also loves the spaghetti bolognese.

"It takes eight hours to make the sauce, but she loves it."

The Mirror reports that Transformers star Nicola ate up his comments, replying that he was the "cutest human ever".

Fans were not so impressed with the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, with many slamming his "weird" accent, which was a cross between English and American.

One said: "Omg I had never heard him talk before. What is that accent?!"

While another teased: "Does he even know how he sounds?"

Brooklyn was born in London, but spent much of his childhood growing up in the US.

He married Nicola in a multi-million dollar wedding in Florida in April.

It's been widely reported that, despite the fact his proud superstar parents shared several happy snaps of the day, the fashion designer's relationship with Nicola is less than peachy.

Sources claim that it's been 'very difficult' for the former Spice Girl to watch her son grow close to the actress' family.

Nicola and Victoria also don't interact with each other on social media as much as they used to prior to the wedding.

Earlier this year, Liam Payne went viral after a clip of him talking about the Oscars drama between Chris Rock and Will Smith when viewers noticed there was something weird about how he sounded.

On social media people couldn't understand why the star was speaking in accents which sounded Welsh, Irish, American, and South African.

Liam later told his fans on Instagram Live what actually happened during the chat.

He told his followers: "It was quite funny - I had asked Good Morning Britain, the presenter, I said 'Please don't ask me too much because I've had a lot to drink and I'm underly educated about the Oscars.' I said 'Please don't ask me too much, and the very first question the man asked me was 'What do you think about Will Smith?'"

Liam said of his retort. "I actually read back on what I said and I stand by what I said, but I'm just sorry it came out in so many accents."

Regarding the cause of his many twangs, he explained: "I'll tell you the truth. I was living in a house with two German people, three people from Texas, one person from Liverpool and me."
