Brooklyn Beckham’s long list of failed career moves now include being the face of high street fashion brand Superdry – who have binned him off after less than a year.
The 23-year-old celebrity offspring was announced as the brand’s ambassador last November – and secured a reported £1 million for the pleasure.
But now it is reported the deal between Brooklyn and Superdry has come to an abrupt end – with the brand moving on to find new stars to work with.
The shock decision to dump Brooklyn comes after he already failed to make a career as a photographer, barista, footballer, and chef.
A spokesperson for Superdry told the Mail on Sunday that they had decided to axe their working relationship with Brooklyn – delivering the news in a slightly ‘we dumped him, he didn’t dump us’ style.
A Superdry spokesperson said: “Superdry works with a range of brand ambassadors and enjoyed working with Brooklyn during the launch of our new flagship Oxford Street store and during our Autumn/Winter 21 campaign.
"We always review the ambassadors who feature in our campaigns and decided to work with a different range of talent for Spring/Summer 22.”
The comment is in stark contrast to the glowing endorsement Superdry gave Brooklyn when he was originally unveiled as their ambassador.
A spokesperson declared last year: “To have the endorsement of Brooklyn is a testament to what we’re doing as a brand.
“As a business, we want to effect positive change for present and future generations, a generation that Brooklyn is speaking to.”
It is believed his £1 million deal involved him promoting the brand via his social media channels – which includes his Instagram page which features over 14 million followers. And he also posed in clothing made by the brand, and attended a party at their flagship store on London’s Oxford Street last winter.
Brooklyn – who tied-the-knot with billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz back in April – has struggled to hold down a career over the years.
He has turned to his father-in-law, American billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, for career advice in recent weeks.
How wife, 27-year-old Nicola, told Tatler recently: “Brooklyn is getting into very exciting things with his shows and also business things and it’s really sweet.
“I watch him call my dad and say, ‘What do you think about this?’ I love watching him learn from my dad.”
Brooklyn's most recent attempt at a career involved reinventing himself as a celebrity chef – but his efforts were brutally mocked from all sides.
He spanked a reported £100,000 on an eight minute YouTube video showing himself struggling to make a sandwich.
Those tuning in to the video were left gobsmacked when Brooklyn could be seen being outfoxed by the cooking instructions of a hash brown and were equally unimpressed when he just stacked a number of ingredients inside a bagel.
In an interview with the Evening Standard last year, Brooklyn hinted that cooking was his future.
Reviewing his varied career so far, he said: “I started doing football and I love that, then went into photography, which I am still in love with and now I do cooking.
“I’ve always been into trying new food, even if it is sometimes a bit not that great. I remember trying jellied eels because I’ve always liked pie and mash — and I did not like them at all.”
