David Beckham's sweet wedding speech from Brooklyn Beckham's wedding has been revealed, as he gives his son one piece of important advice.
Brooklyn, 23, married billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz, 27, at her family's Miami estate in a star-studded three day celebration last month.
The couple, who landed the front cover of Vogue Magazine after their multi million dollar wedding, revealed snippets of David's sweet wedding speech to his eldest son.
David and Victoria Beckham were the first people to walk down the aisle at Brooklyn's wedding, as she joked the couple were 'opening the show'.
The former England captain had a much longer speech than the other guests, and even asked Brooklyn for forgiveness for dressing the tot in a miniature cowboy hat for his 1999 wedding to Victoria.
“I’m sure we still have that hat somewhere,” Brooklyn joked.
David finished his speech off with some fatherly advice for his newlywed son: "The most important thing is to make each other happy. And treat your Mrs like gold.’”
Other speeches by family members issued the same sentiment to the couple.
Nicola’s brother, Brad Peltz, was the man of honour and in his speech gave two pieces of advice: “Rule number one: Happy wife, happy life. Rule number two: Don’t f**k up rule number one.”
The father of the bride, Nelson Peltz, expressed his gratitude for being able to celebrate such a joyful occasion when there is so much suffering happening in the rest of the world.
He proudly described how his now daughter and son in law are passionate about non-profit work and, in lieu of wedding presents, had partnered with the humanitarian organisation Care to set up a donation page to the foundation’s Ukraine fund.
