Bronny James came just moments away from revealing his basketball future and is likely to announce his decision in the coming days.
The 18-year-old appeared to be stopped by a PR representative after speaking about his future in the sport, ahead of this weekend's Nike Summit game.
James has reportedly received offers from a number of college teams with Ohio State, USC, and Oregon said to be the favourites.
And one of his teammates in this weekend's game, Jackson Shelstad, had attempted to convince him to join him in Oregon, which a reporter asked him about.
James said: "It's fun times. It's good to know that they want me there with them, but at the end of the day, it's my decision, and I gotta make the right one for me."
James was then asked when he might make his decision, before a representative said: "I think we can move on to questions about U.S. Basketball and the Hoop Summit."
The talented teenager has yet to announce whether he will indeed play in college or turn professional, after raising his stock in last month's McDonalds All-Star game.
Bronny is now seen as one of the best players below the age of 19 in the nation, and could be a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
His decision on where he'll play in 2023 will go a long way to deciding his future, with Lavar Ball already telling James to snub college and go to a professional league, as his son LaMelo Ball had done, when starring in the Australian and New Zealand leagues.
He said: "It’s better [in Australia]. Why? Because you playing against grown men and you getting paid. If you want to play basketball and you really that dude, why am I sitting in class trying to pass a chemistry test? I don’t want to play no chemistry. I don’t want to practice no Spanish."
James Sr hopes to play with his son in 2024, with the legendary superstar set to become a free agent the year Bronny becomes draft eligible.
