Bronny James’ First Start for USC Didn’t End Well

Bronny James earned his first collegiate start at USC on Saturday night vs. Colorado as the Trojans lost 68–58 in the Pac-12 matchup.

James majorly struggled in his starting debut as he shot 0-for-7, and 0-for-3 from three-point range. He finished with zero points, two rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes played.

Guard Oziyah Sellers scored 18 points with three rebounds off the bench. It’s unknown what USC coach Andy Enfield plans to do with James’s status moving forward.

James was elevated to the starting lineup after star Isaiah Collier suffered from a hand injury that is expected to sideline him for four to six weeks. Collier has averaged 15.4 points a game and leads the team with 4.1 assists per game.

James started his freshman season late as he was recovering from a cardiac arrest he suffered at a practice in July

In nine total games played, James has averaged 5.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists. USC faces No. 8 Arizona next on Wednesday.
