A Brisbane Broncos NRL player is being investigated by police over an alleged domestic violence incident.
The club on Monday confirmed they have been made aware of the matter involving one of their players and have notified the NRL Integrity Unit.
Queensland Police said it was investigating the off-field allegation.
The player, who AAP has chosen not to name, has not been arrested or charged.
"The Queensland Police Service is investigating a domestic violence report relating to an incident in Brisbane's south on Sunday July 28, 2024," a statement from the force read.
"Investigations into this matter are ongoing."
It was unclear whether the player would be made available for Saturday's must-win clash with Gold Coast Titans.
"Brisbane Broncos were today made aware of a matter involving one of our players, which the club has referred to the NRL Integrity Unit," a Broncos statement said.
"The health and wellbeing of all parties is paramount for our club, and support has been offered to those involved.
"At this stage, the club is not in a position to comment further."
Brisbane must win all five of their remaining NRL regular season games to play in the finals after a 41-16 home loss to Canterbury last round.
