Broncos officially announce 8 roster moves

After some roster shuffling, the Denver Broncos have set their 90-man offseason roster ahead of the start of organized team activities.

The Broncos officially waived four players on Monday and re-signed two players. Denver then signed two more players on Tuesday, filling out the roster ahead of the summer.

Here’s a quick recap of the moves the Broncos have made over the last 48 hours.

To make room on the roster for Jackson, Denver cut Gaines. He signed with the team as a college free agent following the draft and competed at rookie minicamp over the weekend.

McAllister was cut last week so the team would have room on the roster for rookies at minicamp over the weekend. After seeing the RBs at camp, Denver decided to re-sign McAllister. He spent time on the Broncos’ practice squad last season.

Waived RB Emanuel Wilson

To make room for McAllister, the Broncos cut Wilson. He signed with the team as a college free agent after the draft and competed at rookie minicamp.

5
Signed QB Ben DiNucci

DiNucci starred in the XFL this spring and earned an invite to try out at rookie minicamp. The Broncos officially signed him on Tuesday.

To make room for DiNucci, the team cut Leach, another rookie undrafted free agent. This is good news for Jarrett Guarantano, who will get a chance to complete with DiNucci for the third-string quarterback job.

7
Signed RB Jacques Patrick

Patrick is coming off a solid season in the XFL and he will now compete for Denver’s third-string running back role after signing on Tuesday.

8
Waived WR Dallas Daniels

To make room for Patrick, the Broncos waived Daniels, another UDFA who competed at rookie minicamp over the weekend.

Denver’s 90-man offseason roster is now full.
