Broncos’ new strength coach has 16 years of experience in the NFL

In addition to having a revamped coaching staff this year with new coordinators on offense, defense and special teams, the Denver Broncos will also have a new head strength and conditioning coach.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton has hired Dan Dalrymple to oversee the team’s strength and conditioning in 2023 and beyond. Payton is very familiar with Dalrymple from his time in New Orleans — the strength coach was hired with Payton in 2006 and remained with the Saints through the 2021 season.

Dalrymple and Payton are now set to reunite in Denver after the Broncos parted ways with former strength coach Loren Landow last month. Landow held the position in Denver from 2018-2022.

Dalrymple has 35 years of strength and conditioning coach experience, including 16 years in the NFL with the Saints. Before that, he served as the director of athletic conditioning at Miami University (Ohio) from 1987-2005.

The Broncos are also bringing back Korey Jones as an assistant strength and conditioning coach under Dalrymple. Jones spent the last three years in Denver working with Landow.
