Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (groin) was held out of practice Wednesday as the team began preparing for Sunday’s showdown with the Houston Texans. Broncos coach Sean Payton said after practice that he expects Jeudy will be “fine.”
Elsewhere on the wide receiver front, Brandon Johnson (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday, starting a 21-day window for him to be activated from injured reserve to the 53-man roster. Denver still has an open spot on the active roster following safety Kareem Jackson’s four-game suspension.
If the Broncos do not activate Johnson within the next three weeks, he will spend the entire season on IR. The 25-year-old receiver spent the last five weeks recovering and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him elevated before Week 13.
Meanwhile, tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) worked on a side field Wednesday, according to The Denver Post‘s Parker Gabriel. Dulcich is also eligible to return from IR, but he does not appear to be as close to a return as Johnson.
