In a recent episode of Ted Lasso (spoilers ahead), the soccer coach tells a story of his friend who grew up as a Denver Broncos fan in Missouri while being surrounded by fans of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Because all his friends hated the Broncos, Lasso’s friend had to watch the team win back-to-back Super Bowls by himself in the late 1990s. The coach regretted that in hindsight, saying he should have been there to support him.
After the coach tells that story, one of the show’s characters, “Jamie Tartt,” asks “What are [expletive] Denver Broncos?”
The team had a perfect response to the episode on Twitter, tweeting the character’s profile page to introduce themselves as the Denver Broncos.
👋, @TheJamieTartt —
We're the Denver Broncos.
And @TedLasso, it's okay. But next time, share that seven-layer dip with your friend while watching us win back-to-back Super Bowls. 🫶 pic.twitter.com/8zqMIqoAPv

The Broncos also wrote a message to the coach: “And @TedLasso, it’s okay. But next time, share that seven-layer dip with your friend while watching us win back-to-back Super Bowls. 🫶”
Jason Sudeikis, the actor who portrays the coach, is a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs in real life, Well done by Denver’s social media team.
