The Denver Broncos have elevated two players from the practice squad to the game-day roster for their Week 3 showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Broncos called up running back Tyler Badie and defensive back Tanner McCalister on Saturday afternoon. Badie and McCalister will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.
Players can be elevated up to three times during the season without having to clear waivers to return to the practice squad. This marks the second time Badie has been elevated this season and McCalister’s first elevation.
Badie was called up to serve as the team’s No. 3 running back behind Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin. McCalister will provide more depth at safety and likely play on special teams in the place of an injured JL Skinner.
The Broncos’ game against the Buccaneers will be regionally televised on Fox and in-market fans can stream the game on fuboTV (try it free). Denver is considered a road underdog in Week 3.
