The Denver Broncos have elevated two players from their 17-player practice squad to the game-day roster for Sunday’s showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Broncos called up wide receivers Phillip Dorsett and Lil’Jordan Humphrey, adding them to the active roster for Week 1.
Buy Broncos TicketsThe Broncos are going into the regular season with just four wide receivers on the active roster (Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims and Brandon Johnson) and Jeudy is questionable this week, so it’s not surprising to see the team call up more depth at WR.
Each player on the practice squad can be elevated to the game-day roster three times during the season without having to clear waivers in order to revert back to the practice squad after the game.
This marks the first of a possible three elevations for Dorsett and Humphrey in 2023.
Sunday’s game against the Raiders will begin at 2:25 p.m. MT. The Broncos are considered 3.5-point favorites at home (view the TV map here).
