Coming off a 31-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts (6-8), the Denver Broncos (9-5) are listed as early 3-point road underdogs against the Los Angeles Chargers (8-6), who lost 40-17 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-6) on Sunday. The over/under for the total points scored between the Broncos and Chargers has been set at 42.5.
Earlier this season, Denver lost to L.A. 23-16 at home. The Broncos will now aim to get some revenge in a national spotlight.
This game was the first matchup in NFL history to be flexed into a Thursday Night Football window. Originally scheduled for a Sunday afternoon slot, the AFC West showdown was moved to prime time in November.
Neither team can catch the Kansas City Chiefs (13-1) in the division, but the winner of Thursday’s game will gain ground in the AFC’s Wild Card race. Denver leads the all-time series against the Chargers 73-56-1, including a 24-7 win when they visited SoFi Stadium last season.
