Victim's teeth smashed with glass bottle during 'unprovoked street attack' in Lenton

A man suffered several broken teeth and other serious facial injuries when he was hit with a glass bottle. Police have released CCTV images of five people they would like to speak to in connection with the assault.

On March 13, Nottinghamshire Police were called to Hartley Road in Lenton following reports a man had been hit in the face with a glass bottle. As the victim walked along the street, he is understood to have been attacked by a group of people.

He was taken to hospital for treatment. As part of their ongoing investigation, officers have released CCTV images of five men they would like to speak to in connection with the assault.

Detective Constable Aiden Rowton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a completely unprovoked attack that left a man in hospital with nasty injuries to his face. It should go without saying but this kind of violent behaviour is completely unacceptable and has no place on our streets or in our communities.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who recognises any of the five men pictured in these images as we feel they may have vital information that could assist our investigation."

Anyone with information should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 351 of March 13. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
