Broadway-style theatre for Sydney's Star casino

The operator of Sydney Lyric - the local home of Hairspray and other major musicals - will soon convert an underused function space into two theatres.

Foundation Theatres on Friday won independent planning approval to build a new "Broadway-style" theatre seating 1550 patrons and a 1000-seat theatre in the Star casino complex.
