Derby broadband provider Gigabit Networks has struck a sponsorship deal with Derby Rugby Football Club.
The deal will see a billboard advertising the firm beside the pitch at the Haslams Lane ground, and deals for club members.
For every order placed Gigabit Networks will make a contribution to club funds.
It comes after Gigabit entered a sponsorship deal with Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
Rugby club commercial chair Mike Carr said: “Through this sponsorship, Gigabit Networks will provide access to a host of benefits and rewards for our club, its members and our supporters.
“We cannot wait to embark on this journey with Gigabit as already they have shown a great deal of commitment to serving the local community.”
Gigabit Networks co-founder Dan Ilett said: “We have been focusing our efforts on building long-standing partnerships with organisations and businesses that share the same passion for community development as we do so we’re very pleased to be sponsoring Derby City Rugby Club.”
Gigabit Networks is working in partnership with CityFibre to connect homes and businesses to Derby’s full-fibre network, with download speeds of up to 930 Mb per second.
The network uses 100% fibre optic cables to transmit data quicker and more reliably than the traditional copper wire network and so far the fibre has been laid outside nearly 35,000 homes and businesses in parts of Mackworth, Allestree, Mickleover, Abbey, Arboretum and Darley wards.
