BRITs viewers had a lot of love for Best New Artist Little Simz's mum.
The rapper, 27, bagged her first award at the star-studded ceremony in London last night and took her proud parent with her on stage.
The artist, also known as Simbiatu Abisola Abiola Ajikawo, made an emotional speech when she accepted her award saying: "Look what you done, mum. Look at what you done!"
Her heartfelt tribute made her mum, who works as a foster carer, put her head in her hands in disbelief.
Simz continued: "My name is Simbiatu Ajikawo. I’m from North London.
"I grew up on a council estate. I’m an independent artist and to be here tonight, receiving this award is such a blessing. I’m so grateful.”
“I am living proof that if you work hard on something no matter where you come from, no matter your background, no matter your race, you can do something extraordinary. So this is for all the kids dreaming – keep dreaming keep pushing, I am you, you are me.”
As the audience erupted, the I Love You, I Hate You star gave her trophy to her mum, who waved it in the air with a smile a mile wide.
The beautiful moment sent fans into a frenzy with many taking to Twitter to praise the proud parent.
One said: "Loving how @LittleSimz brought her fab mum on with her to accept her award #BRITs."
Another admitted: I’m actually crying. #littlesimz winning this award with her mum! #brits2022 #brits."
A third stated: "OK @LittleSimz mum just stole the show #BRITs."
There were even calls for Simz's mum to take a more prominent role at the awards next year with one viewer asking: "Can Little Simz’s Mum host next year’s #brits please?"
The rapper performed the titular track from her 2021 album, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert in a real feast for the eyes.
Surrounded by burgundy clad dancers, Simz emerged from the melee in a fabulous black leather trench coat.
But then things got really surreal when The Crown 's Emma Corrin made a surprise appearance.
Emma, 26, looked completely different from her time as Princess Diana on the hit Netflix series and took to the stage to recite a verse during Simz's smash hit single.
Viewers tuning in at home were shocked to see Emma on stage and took to Twitter to comment.
One asked: "Did Emma Corrin just appear at the Brits??!!??”
While another gushed: “Little Simz is iconic. Emma Corrin as well?? My eyes are blessed."
