As soon as the temperature hits 26C, Brits consider it “too hot” for certain activities such as exercising, gardening, cooking – or even wearing clothes.
Other chores Brits avoid doing when the mercury rises include cleaning the house, doing DIY, and driving, according to a poll of 2,000 adults.
The optimum temperature for a British summer's day was found to be 22C – while anything below 15C is considered too cold.
