Britney Spears has lashed out at her younger sister Jamie Lynn after she seemingly complained about her sister on TV.
The pair have had a frosty relationship in the past with Jamie Lynn previously releasing an autobiography titled 'Things I Should Have Said' which referenced Britney almost 300 times. The latest rift appears to have been caused by the 31-year-old younger sister's appearance on reality show Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
In an interview segment, Jamie Lynn said that she is proud of Britney, but admits that it has been difficult growing up in her shadow, reports the Mirror.
She complained on camera saying: "Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young… I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know.
"Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything for myself."
Britney has taken to Instagram to clap back at her sibling over the comment in two separate posts.
She stated: "Are we gonna say it was hard being my sister ???? Hmmmmmmmmmmm …. really ???"
Britney went on: "You want me to share it on Telly ??? I’d rather spit in their faces and trash them on Instagram cause that’s all my family has ever been to me!"
The singer claimed she suffers from nerve damage down one side of her body and then argued that her family "owned" her name over the course of her time under a conservatorship.
She added: "It honestly blows my mind the hardships you say you have had with having me as your sister. I'm sorry you feel that way but don’t ever poke at my broken foot in a kitchen telling me to go to the doctor because my foot infection might infect your royal children!"
Britney has a turbulent relationship with her father as well as her sister, as he controlled her personal and financial affairs for 13 years while she was under a court ordered conservatorship. The singer was released from her conservatorship in November 2021.
