Britney Spears has appeared to put her differences with her sons aside for now, as the mum-of-two sent teenage sons Sean Preston and Jayden gushing birthday tributes amid their ongoing rift.
The pop sensation, 40, shares sons Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, with ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
In recent months, the Toxic hit-maker has endured quite a tough time lately after her teenage sons spoke out about their famous mum, insisting that her risqué social media snaps are a huge part of the reason why they no longer speak to Britney.
As a result, Britney hasn't been shy about calling out her children after they decided to turn their back on her, and in a recent Instagram rant, Britney detailed the lasting effects of their behaviour, adding that a part of her 'has died' since the public fallout.
The drama with her teenage sons comes after their father Kevin insisted that there are endless reasons why Sean Preston and Jayden no longer want contact with their mother.
Despite their ongoing fallout, Britney appeared to put her differences with her sons aside to celebrate their birthday this week.
"Happy birthday Preston and Jayden!!! Love you both so much !!! These photos are from last year," Britney penned as she celebrated her boys, who were born two days apart in September.
Britney's gushing birthday post comes just a few short days after she revealed that a piece of her has 'died' following the hurtful fallout with her sons.
Britney hit out at the situation again last week, insisting that it feels as though her 'heart stopped beating' when her teenage sons 'cut her off'.
"I used to have my kids at one point, way more than Kevin, but people don't remember that part because they always focus on the negative," Britney said.
"From when they were six to nine years old I had them 70 per cent of the time and of course since they've been gone, I've felt like a huge part of me has died.
"Like literally, I have no purpose any more - they were my joy, they were my everything. That was what I lived for. Then all of a sudden, they were gone, and it's like my heart just stopped beating. I don't understand how it's so easy for them to cut me off like that, I just don't understand it," she added.
Britney's post came after her youngest son Jayden reached out to his mum following the drama.
Jayden, 16, said that he hopes he and Britney can one day sit down together and talk through their differences.
"I love you a lot and I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit down and talk," Britney's son wrote.
Britney had invited her sons to her wedding earlier this summer to model and personal trainer Sam Asghari, 28, but unfortunately, they decided not to attend because it wasn't a 'good time', according to Jayden.
Speaking to The Sun, Jayden explained that he and his brother didn't feel comfortable attending their mum's nuptials due to the fact the rest of their family wasn't invited.
“It just wasn’t a good time to go. I’m not saying that I’m not happy for her," he explained.
“I’m really happy for them but she didn’t invite the whole family and if it was just going to be me and Preston, I don’t see how that situation would have ended on good terms.”
Britney has been showered with support and love from her fans since the public fallout with her teenage sons.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband Kevin has been slammed for trying to 'out' the singer as a bad mother.
