Britney Spears begs fans not to call police as she shares another video dancing with knives

Britney Spears has asked fans not to call the police after sharing another video showing her dancing while twirling knives, which she insists are fake.

Local authorities were reportedly asked to do a welfare check on the pop star, 41, after she sparked concern earlier this week following the first clip Spears shared with the sharp-looking props in both hands.

A source told US news outlet TMZ that law enforcement attended the Los Angeles property that she previously shared with estranged husband Sam Asghari on Thursday “out of an abundance of caution”.

The insider added that the mother-of-two spoke with deputies, who determined she “was okay”.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, Britney again reassured fans that she was OK, writing: “I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from the Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives.”

She went on to state that she was trying to “imitate one of my favourite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by”, refering to Shakira’s knife dance at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

The Toxic hitmaker signed off her post with: “Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks,” followed by three knife emojis.

In the accompany clip, a barefooted Spears can be seen running the knives along her body and twirling while tapping the knives together to the beat of the music.
